Wassup with AAC and manuals?

Am I the only one who repeatedly asked AAC for a manual on how to install footwell lighting and only got a link to a thread on camaro5. Same thing happened for Sidemarkers and dome light. Is there a reason they don't send out manuals with their products? Its frustrating receiving a product in the mail with no instructions on how to install it. I don't get it!!

They don't send out manuals because they don't offer them. With the side markers they should have included a little sheet of paper that explained the wires that you tap into. They are most likely redirecting you here because in the DIY are many many threads about how to install their products.

No offense to the threads. I learned many things on this forum and am very grateful, but if I pay a good amount of money for a product I expect an official installation manual from the people who sold it to met. If that is something they "just don't do" it should be listed as a warning on their site.

Agreed, and please, no black and white pictures when giving me wiring instructions. Learned this the hard way with my RS plasma bulb installation.

I see your point Vgav1221 but honestly there is a finite number of possibilities on how to wire them based on preferences right? Can't they just take some time to write instructions for each preference? I mean if they are in the business to make money, should they not invest some of it to produce installation instructions to attract a greater number of customers? For that very reason I am probably not going to purchase anything from them again. So they are losing money because of that.

I would never even dare to try to take on a project such as installing an entire Halo kit.
I asked the question on their sites live chat whether the footwell lighting is easy to install and the support person responded yes. I figured I could do it myself given the right instructions. If I knew that i would have to go through a long thread gathering bits and pieces of information on how to install this thing I would never have purchased it from them. They can do business however they want I don't care as long as the customer knows what to expect. They should have posted on their website that no instructions are provided with their products. I was mislead and not happy about it.

I agree with you. They just send you a link to a thread with irrelevant information.

Stay stock... you're going to break something if you keep fiddling with your Camaro.

I agree, I bought the color shift 2.0 halos and AAC instructions sucked. they left out steps and had the worng diagrams for the wireing but i figured it out. it just took me a few extra hours.
