My $0.02:

I like the looks of the older steering wheel, but the ergos of the new one.

GM, why couldn't you fix the ergos of the old one, and retain that retro look?

If you where here from the start you did not get bent over on the price, and had a low VIN.

I noticed it's also on the sneak peek shots of the new Cadillac ATS. Is the new wheel really that bad or is it just that it's no longer 100% unique that bothers some of you? Or is it just the chevy bowtie that SO MANY people seem to have a problem with?

What a mature, intelligent, well-thought-out comment.

And now sweeping generalizations and grossly misinformed assumptions! You'd better check that attitude or you won't last long here, word to the wise

I drove from San Diego to Virginia... no issues. The wheel is perfect for long drives especially compared to my 2002 Grand Prix I traded in for it!

WGAS?

Seriously, these folks could start a whole new website and forum based solely around whining about the damn steering wheel.

It's a better wheel. One change for better ergonomics and functionality in a car based completely around the concept of form over function is hardly a loss.

This. I've had no issues on the road trips I've taken. I love my wheel.

By the way, check out where the Corvette's steering wheel is.

2010 Cobalt, Malibu, Pontiac G6...

Yeah the rental G6 I have right now has a 'Vette steering wheel. I thought it was a hoot when I got in it!

I actually hate the steering wheel in my wifes cobalt. I like to grip the bottom middle of the steering wheel. Even though we cant to it on our 2010-2011 camaro's either, the only thing i like more about the 2012's is the powered passanger seat in the 2LT and 2SS other than they they can keep it.
