Anyone with the AEM UEGO wideband know about how long the 4 pin output pigtail is that comes with the gauge?

Mine are about 18" - 24" I would measure them but it is already installed. I guess you are talking about the loose wires, not the ready to connect ones.

Correct. Thanks for the insight. I'm trying to rig up cables for litle and I to run our widebands into the A/C pressure sensor. I needed to know whether or not I have to make a longer pigtail for that output cable. Sounds like I do! We actually stock those 4 pin connectors at work... so that's no big deal.

I wish there would have been more folks willing to share on here when I bought my SS two years ago. No one would, so learning the E38 and T43 took a bit of time.....and I had tuned dozens of LT1, LS1, and LS2 vehicles.

It would be great if some of the more experienced guys would start sharing some nuggets and tibdits with the guys just learning on here. I know I will.
Hey litle, maybe you need to start an HPTuners newbie lounge in here. lol

Different beast to tune the E38 without a real VE table compared to the old LS1's. Still on the MAF tune here but might go with the 2 bar HPT Custom OS upgrade to get a real VE table someday. So far on stock internals the std OS with the 2.5 bar MAP data from SLP is fine. Dialed in to .78 PE lambda (1.28 PE in GM terms) on E85. Learn to tune Lambda & forget AFR. Life is much simpler, especially with E10/15 and E85. Your WB & NB O2 sensors are really lambda sensors anyway and in Lambda, Stoich is ALWAYS 1.0 lambda regardless of fuel.

Lol I know!! Ill share, IDGAF cause its no black art, there's just a few different ways. As long as AFR and your dont have more timing than needed I think we'll be good! I just wanna start like with the basics you know like maneuvering around the program and PCM.

A second vote for a sub forum. We need one for the what's a tune or Diablo or SCT folks. another for people who want to DYI the tunes. Never used HP Tuner but reading around has made me want to go for it. I have tuned before with both piggy back and stand alone ECU's so don't think it should prove too difficult especially with the available knowledge.
I have an old NGK WB new in the box from an old project wonder what kind of connection is needed to work with HP Tuner Pro?

Cool! Get after it!

I'm working on cables now to take over the a/c pressure sensor so you can use your wideband with the standard hpt. You just have to feed your analog wideband signal into the programmer with hpt pro.

I am shopping now for one myself but can not decide which one to go with. I need to read up more on the HP and the EFI Live. I am no mechanic but I do have lots of common sense so this would for sure be a DIY ordeal for me. I want something user friendly that will yield results. I am surprised I haven't seen anyone recommend the diablo? I read up on it and it seems to be a good setup but I typically go with actual users of products over manufacturer's recommendations or preferences for obvious reasons.

NGK AFX? That's one of the best choices in consumer grade widebands...the analog 5 volt output will work perfectly with HPTuners.

That's actually how mine is hooked up in my Camaro...make SURE you disable anything AC related in the fan settings when you have it hooked up that way, otherwise the fans will kick on and off with AFR changes. Also make sure you plug the AC back in AND re-enable the stock AC/fan related stuff when you're done tuning.
