Jeff and Ruby! It look's like you'll really had fun. I hate I missed it. That's what it's about my Camaro Enthusiast friends, having Camaro fun. Also, it was great getting a chance to meet you and your wife (Jeff).

Finally got the onboard videos cut and uploaded.
Here are more videos of Yotaman's catastrophic driveshaft fail ... sorry Tim, I had cameras all over the damned place! Onboard with me via my visor camera ... where you can hear it come apart at 0:58 and my reaction at 1:00 as I see his headlights skittering around Same race, but via my door camera: Last edited by GnyaTek; 04-30-2012 at 10:12 PM. Finals
Visor camera battery was dead so only had the door camera feed for the finals. And due to a "technical issue" (read that as "operator error") the bleacher camera shot was .... lets say .... a bit off... The race was EXTREMELY close. GMteSSted with a supercharger vs GnyaTek's SS convertible with CAI. Due to dial in times, I got the headstart, and it took most of the track, but GMteSSted caught up to me and made the pass. I passed him as he shifted, but he got me at the line ... with a margin of victory of only 0.0262 seconds. The race was so close, that GMteSSted ddin't even come into view at all until after the finish line as we were slowing down. Great job Bobby! Congratulations on the win! onboard - GnyaTek's door cam: and from the stands .... uh .... welll? .... ... at least we got his shoe! Last edited by GnyaTek; 04-30-2012 at 10:54 PM. Reason: typo |

Next Up is the Music City 5th Generation Camaro Fest II in Oct. 2012 official date to be set within a week. We hope more of you can make it. This is a growing event, & will become a huge 5th Gen. Camaro gathering within 5 years. Local dragracers are beginning to except these cars as true american modern day hotrods.

I pulled the driveshaft out today. DSS says it looks like the driveshaft had a bad weld. It damaged the heat shield and my new exhaust. DSS has already shipped out a new shaft for me.

Just amazing! I don't suppose they would help with the damage to the heat shield & exaust since it was their bad weld, would they?

They did send me a carbon fiber shaft to replace the aluminum one that broke. As far as the damaged parts, I think I'm on my own.
