They were PRC .675 springs that came with the cam kit. Thanks guys. I hope there's no further damage either. I'm going to have to trailer it up to San Antonio to have lethal check it out.

Hey the valves are still in the locks... you dodged a bullet. New springs are easy.

Id go ahead and replace all the springs your already there man might as well know you have a fresh set. You might have gotten a defective set to start with why take the risk of this happening again.

I would be leery of installing the same brand springs for sure.

FWIW a simple back pressure test will determine if a cat is plugged or not. I know that's not your problem but for anyone else trying to diagnose a similar issue this will take away the guesswork.
I would go with BTR Brian Tooley Racing valve springs.

I would also take the head off and make sure the valves didn't touch the pistons. These valves aren't very strong. I had the same issue as you and thought I could just replace the springs. Well that part ( replacing the springs) was easy. Went for a test drive and about a half mile out the intake valve head snapped off side ways into the intake port and ruined that head and piston and also sent shrapnel across the engine and messed up that piston and head. That was a hell of a hard lesson to learn from. Good luck

You could use a bore scope to look into the cylinders and inspect the pistons for any damage.

Thanks guys. I'm giving lethal a call to have them inspect for further damage. I hope it's just the springs. I am replacing the whole set.
Which ones specifically? Anyone know any other springs that could hold up to this cam?

Coil bind may have caused that.
