Skeptics of weak MAF sensor READ!!!!

I have had my 2010 2ss camaro for about 9months now and have had an intake, x pipe, JBA high flow cats and muffler delete from the first week I bought the car. I have read all the threads about the weak MAF and always guessed I had a strong one, being the SS always felt strong. Well that was until I rode in a SS with nearly exact same mods and it felt way stronger. Discouraged I couldn't figure out what it was, on a whim I pulled my MAF out and discovered it was a weak version. I ordered one from a vendor here and installed it today.....let me say one thing this was the issue!!!! It felt like a new car. In second gear at 3000 rpm I put it too the floor and he went sideways. So if you have a weak MAF, spend the 80 bucks!!!! It's worth it.

I get questioned about the MAF thing all of the time. Customers are often skeptical but it is REAL.

Give this a read. If you have a letter only in the location pictured below it is "weak". If it is a letter and a number, like in the picture, then it is "strong".

“Weak” vs. “Strong” 5th Gen MAF Sensor

Is this an issue wit both L99 and LS3? Also if your stock and get the strong one would it benefit at all for an L99.

It is my understanding that that it is for the l99 and ls3. I have seen lots of threads each contradicticting the next when it comes to stock and making a difference...some say yes bust most say no. However with any bolt ons especially an intake most everyone says its then the difference happens.

I never thought there was anyone out there that doubted it until the other day when I was reading a thread where people didnt belive there was a difference and if so it was extremely minimal (ill try and find it again)

It's been quite some time since I've read anything on this, but I do remember there were many people who reported the MAF absolutely helped. Vararam is the company that initially brought this to light. In case you have not see it here is the info.
