I most likely will be keeping my dealers decal on my car. It's nice and it read "Freedom" and its not on the trunk. It's on the left hand corner of the bumper, it looks pretty cool i think...

Well....let's see....yeah...I'll be keeping it!

If you don't like it, it's called fishing line...both dealers and customers have been putting them on and taking them off for years....nothing new. Everyone has different tastes. And, if you like it, more power to you. If you don't, you can just take it off or ask to not have it put on. Personally, I like the look if done right.

Dude, you need to take some pills and calm down. Surely you are not so sheltered that you have not noticed dealer ID on the rear of vehicles? This is pretty simple marketing done very often, try to understand.

Anyway, like the others said if you don't like it simply remove it - your car now so do what you want. Others of us are well taken care of by our dealers and don't flip out over them wanting to do some harmless marketing.

Sheesh!

They do it because 99% of customers can care less about the sticker and will leave it FREE Advertising.

Want me to advertise on my car? Fine. Give me a reason to, like a discount below MSRP or some free accessories.

Yeah!!!!!!!Right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!To each its OWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you are absolutely right, everyone has his or hers own taste. And Im just stating my taste. If my taste doesnt appeal...COOL!....for those that agree more power to you. I guess on My House Roof Top I will have "FINANCED BY BANK OF AMERICA" On my jeans, pant let, I will have "GUESS" On my Harley 09 Vrod Muscle, I will have, well.......................HARLEY!!!!! Hell its a CHEVY what more advertising you need. My experience with dealers, coming from a background of salesman, is they are put there to get the most greenbacks they can from you. Beleive what you may!!!!!!!! If they are not they don't have a job for very long. So for those of you that choose to keep the TAG on your nice beautiful CAM5, you can have mine. Lone Star Chevrolet(Houston). This is the only dealer I buy from But me buying my $42,654 2010 Camaro 2SS from them, with a 2k markup--well hell, is good enough advertisment for me. They can run a weeks worth of ads in the Houston Chronicle for 2K

These major Companies have enough dough, and will take any route they can to screw you, and get something back for you, no matter how small, ie; little 4inch decal on rear trunk, they will do it. Just look at our Government!

You want to talk bad about people who leave the dealer sticker on but yet arent smart enough to go to one of the many dealers listed on here for UNDER msrp. IMO you have no room to talk.
Why do the dealers do it, or why are the owners keeping them on there? If it's the latter, then yeah, that is just wrong to keep that on this beautiful car. All dealers do it unless you tell them not to, and even then they do it.[/QUOT

I asked my dealer not to put the front license plate or dealer sticker on my car and he said they do not do these things on sport cars. The only dealer marking on my car is the rear license plate cover.

BTW

BTW! Its not about the money. Have you ever heard the saying its not tricking if you have the money to trick. Youre not being screwed if you have the cash in liquid assets to give the screwer. I'll even bring the KY! So most people that complain about the markup problably really don't have the money to give the dealer. Me, well hell it was reasonalbe. I probably would have gave them 8k over MRSP. So you royally missed my POINT. I do believe I was trying to make a point. Maybe. alittle vocal, but not talking bad about individuals that choose to make the opposite decision from me. Read the thread a again.
