Sorry but I've got to get back into this. I work in a call center with about 300 people and can easily apply the 80/20 rule. 80% are kids (Millennials) and by kids, I'm referring to 18 to late 20's. Of that 80%, 80% feel like they're entitled to something by the government, corporate world etc. They don't feel like they have to be accountable for their actions and don't want to take any responsibility for much of anything. They always have an excuse and have little respect for others. Now, I understand that they don't have an easy job but it is one they've accepted and are expected to do.

However, there is hope because the other 20% do have the drive to make something out of their life. They are the ones who you might reach, if you are fortunate enough, when you call customer service and you have a WOW experience. They take the initiative to take ownership of the issue and go out of their way to resolve it. Most have figured out a way to get a better education and some are working a couple jobs plus going to school to accomplish that. As a member of management, I choose to spend my time working with those who want to make something of themselves, or truly want to do the job they were hired for. However, I do believe helping everyone so for the ones who choose to not perform as expected, I will help give them the opportunity to seek employment elsewhere if that's what they choose.

@spadz93 - Don't be a hater. People like you and one~Bad~SS give old phartz like me hope for the future and actually may have the advantage of standing out from other Millennials.

Exactly. Some of us were raised the right way, unfortunately it seems we're few and far between and have been grouped in with the rest of the batch

Glad to hear my efforts are paying off. I can't stand entitlement

Maybe the reason you feel a lack of respect is because you unfairly judge large groups of people based on age and dredge up old forums posts in search for public validation.

I have worked in a call center with 3000 employees, and the majority are those were genuinely nice people. Just food for thought, no maliciousness intended

I didn't see the thread when it originally began. I'm amazed (maybe not) that the kid had the to ask & expect others to pay his ticket - especially in a 2014 Camaro.

Note: 5 days after beginning this thread he posted the following:

Shame, either money wasn't an issue OR his priorities are all screwed up...
