Though I liked the both movies, I wouldn't put either in my top 20.

Favorite western of all time? The Good, The Bad & The Ugly or Outlaw Josie Wales.

Now...as far as modern remakes of historical people, my favorite "movie" isn't even a movie.

The show Deadwood is amazing, and gives an interesting take on what life really was like at that time...not some glorified western. It covers people like Wild Bill Hickock and Calamity Jane.

Loved them both and I'd have to throw "3:10 to Yuma" in there for modern day westerns. Some awesome acting in that one. I still love Costner in 'Field of Dreams' though. Something magical about that movie and I always look at cornfields differently having seen it so many times. I know, it's not a western but Iowa is in the 'Mid-West'!

Because: looneytunes, arrogant, and an ass.

Don't get me wrong, I love many of his movies including this one, Real Genius, and Top Secret. Hell, Willow was enjoyable, he had a lot of charisma and was very good in it.

But I've watched some of his interviews and whatnot. Wow, what a jerk.

Don't forget got fat. Dude packed on some serious "ELL BEES". Couldn't show self control and push away from the dinner table. Guy went from "Ice Man" to "Batman" to "Runs out of breathe and needs to mix in some cardio man".

I'd go with either Outlaw Josey Wales or Unforgiven.
