Hello fellow fifth gen owners. I am new to the forums and just wanted to say hello and let you guys know how amazingly helpful they have been since I received delivery on my Camaro. So here is my story of how I became a proud owner of one of the best if not the best car I have ever owned.

It all started with a photo my father used to have laying around the house when I was a kid. It was a pic of him and his 69 pace car edition camaro. I always thought it was one of the best looking cars I had ever seen.

Following in my fathers footsteps I decided to buy one of my own in 2011, it's not the same car but it is damn close, at least in the looks department.

This is easier said than done though. When I started looking in Sept. of 2011 I was looking locally and couldn't find the exact car I wanted. (Summit White/Inferno Stripes/Inferno interior 2ss/rs 6spd) After looking for about three weeks I finally called a local dealer and asked them to try and find one for me. (should have done that in the first place)

I got a call around mid October that they found one in Georgia and could have it shipped to Texas for a small fee. I jumped on the opportunity.

Traded my 08 lifted sierra quad cab in and took delivery a few days before Thanksgiving. I went home for Thanksgiving day and the look on my fathers face when I pulled up was priceless. Now if I could just get him to stop begging me to drive it every time I see him.
Especially now that I have caught the mod bug and there seems to be no end in sight.

Video dealer sent me after magnaflow cat backs, K&N cai color matched bowties,ss emblems, tail light bezels, and camaro quarter panel delete. Long tubes, cam, springs, suspension upgrades to follow within the next month or two.
With the cat backs the cai and a tune it put down 402rwhp/400trq.
Must go faster!!

Dustin, CONGRATS on the ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
