Get the 1 7/8 with cats... 1 3/4 is a good size to get if you plan on sticking with bolt ons, but the 1 7/8 will be better suited for future mods.
And cats will help keep the car smelling clean after you get a cam... no cats on a cammed car will usually cause a raw fuel smell at idle since larger cams don't efficiently burn all the fuel at idle. |

Go with where you want the power band to be. 1 3/4 gives you more torque throughout the entire rpm range and more hp down low. 1 7/8 will give you more hp up top. It's important to say you will gain tq and hp with either of these, it's just up to you where you want the most power. For just driving around the street I'd go with 1 3/4. If you are gonna track the car a lot and spend a lot of time in the upper rpm range go with 1 7/8.

Simply if you want to get a cam get the 1 7/8 but if you stick with boltons have the 1 3/4 , either way the offroad pipes"catless" is the best .

I would use the 1 7/8 system with cats. You will maintain reliability, sound great, make power, and you will have room to build more power with future mods.

I believe it come with teh same pipes but no cats...
Thos epipes are bent that way for clearance, so I do not think that would change. |

GQ I have the 1 7/8 ARH system currently with Cat im going to purchase the offroad connection pipes and install those and when its time to get it inspected put the Cats on.
Surely it cant be hard to switch them out. |

Guys, If your Camaro is LS3 powered, 1-7/8" is where you need to be. We've done the back to back testing (same day, same car, same dyno) and the LS3 wants 1-7/8" headers. After 2 hours on the dyno we could not get the 1-3/4" headers within 10 RWHP of the 1-7/8". These results do not apply to L99 equipped Camaro's.
