Mix of wash and water in foam gun

I can never get the mixture right when using my foam gun. I have a Foamaster II gun and use Adam's wash. When I use the gun it doesn't come out very foamy, instead its very watered down so im looking for any tips that will help me get the right mix.

The holes in the center bar should face up and you move it one way or the other to adjust mixture. The screw on the end also changes the flow.
Adams shampoo is very thick so you might want to try thinning it down some or the vacuum may not be able to draw enough concentrate up the tube to make good foam. I have an Adams gun for their soap and a foamaster for my daily drivers and another brand soap.

Yes I am. Should I be doing this the other way ie. Water than the soap? Didnt think it'd matter.

No your fine, I have known people that just put soap in the bottle with no water.

How much soap are you using. Never had this problem then again I never cared for adam's soap (big surprise)

What ratio setting are you using also.....

Not sure how many oz I use as I just squirt the shampoo in until I feel like it's enough. I have no way to measure oz or anything. I use a good amount of shampoo though and it's on setting 6 I believe, I'd have to go look.

I use Turtle Wax Ice Car Wash undiluted in mine, with the setting on the third hole. Works great!

I put in about two shot glasses of Adams and the rest water in mine and move the slide to max. That seems to work well for me.

I put about 3/4" inch of soap in then fill with water and use the second to foamiest setting. Works great for me. ( Adam's shampoo)

Get yourself a cheap kitchen measuring cup for use in the garage... it comes in very handy for doing more specific metering. The one I'm using now was $0.99 in the clearance bin at Target.

Personally I've found a mixture of about 3-6oz of soap per FULL water canister is ideal. The range is primarily b/c your hose pressure also plays a large roll in how the gun will foam.... with low pressure the gun will not pull soap as effectively, won't introduce as much air, and won't create as much foam as compared to a higher pressure source.

I'd say start in the middle... somewhere around 4-5oz and go up or down from there to get a feel for it.
