exhaust tone with magnaflow and obx

i just installed my new obx longtubes with catless mid pipes and magnaflow 3in comp catback system, 16483, and im not real happy with the sound. It has a rattly sound at around 3-4k rpm and sounds terrible on cold start... when i started it up this morning it sounded horrible standing behind the car. Im looking for more of a deep throaty sound. Is there something i can do to make cold starts not sound like a POS and maybe cut down on the rattling sound on acceleration? maybe a high flow cat? or changing mufflers? any help is greatly appreciated!

thanks, but still really dont answer my question. Will a high flow cat take the popping/rattle noise away? and if it does will it make it noticeably more quite? I am a huge fan of magnaflow quality and sound but with catless lt's, it aint cutting it.

at idle it sounds good, not as loud as i would want it and doesnt rattle as bad. I can deal with it once its warmed up. But on cold start you dont hear the deep sound of the muffler, you just hear header noise, its hard to explain. ill try to get a video of cold start up here soon. Im sure its just like everyone elses with headers but im very picky with my exhaust. I understand it wont sound like a mustang or anything but i kind of expected a deep throaty loud exhaust with my set up and instead i got a not real loud, rattly, noisey exhaust. The best part of the system is WOT, it screams and sounds amazing when you slam it but far as normal driving its just not what im looking for.

Get the JBA exhaust if you like the muscle car sound. This clip is with cats also!

i dont think this sound clip is cold start. I think I have came to the conclusion, from viewing other videos, the noise im talking about is def from headers. I love the power i got out of them, even without a tune yet i can still feel the increase, but the headers make the exhaust more high pitched and noisy instead of deep. I liked the sound of the magnaflows before i added headers but it was way quite, so i added headers and no cats to make it loud and now this is where i am...

I think high flow cats should help the tone and raspy sound a bit. If it's still not to your liking I would then move on to a different muffler set up.
