Def one of if not the best Generals we have had in at least a century. RIP sir. I really wish I could have met him and Admiral Boorda.
Not to crap on this, but Patreus was absolutely phenominal also until this whole extra marital crap came out. I met Patreus a few times and it was always an honor and pleasure to speak to him. Never once was I intimitated because of who I was talking to. I have also met the very top brass in the Navy and Marine Corp a few times during my last six years in the Navy. Intimidation never crossed my mind with them either. You would be surprised how down to earth the top brass really are. Commandant's of the Marine corp Hagee, Conway and Amos were always great to talk with too. I have never understood why people would get so intimidated just by the mere presence of such high ranking officials. They are human beings just like you and I.
