Lsa supercharger alternator pulley bolt off

Like the title say, my alternator pulley bolt is backing off. This has happened about 5 times now. I have a lsa supercharger and adm kit on the car for about a year or so before this started happening. The car is a 2013 manual ls3 ss. This problem didn't start until I upgraded my clutches. Now if I launch the car hard 2 or 3 times it backs the alternator pulley bolt half way off and tearing up the belt. Has anyone experience this or have any ideas of how I can solve this problem.

I've already tried pinning the alternator bolt. That worked for a while, until the other day. I can post pics of the alternator if needed. Any help will be appreciated.

Don't get me wrong, love the kit and the car is a beast. I just t want to be able to let the beast eat without breaking something.

I made a similar post a while back. I thought I had a fix but I didn't, at least not long term.

I had the same problem with an idler pulley a couple years ago, with the same set up as you. Pulled the bolt out and used some loc tite. I check all the bolts from time to time but the issue hasn't returned.

Had the same issue. Actually destroyed two alternators. My third alternator I put a couple tack welds on the nut. Red loc-tite wasn't enough.

Like I ahave said before

If all else fails, put an l99 automatic alternator on it.It has a 1 way sprag on it.

So it looks like 2 failures show to exist from what I see posted.

John Hagen was a bad factory idler pulley, not an alternator problem.

or buy just the sprag(decoupler)- http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/c...or+pulley,2448

and the special tool to install it

Andy, unless you replaced that bad factory idler pulley, the same one is still in the car. I haven't had an issue since the bolt backed out at Texas Motorplex and shredded the accessory belt. Once I got home and figured out what the exact issue was, I pulled the bolt, loc-tite, new belt and haven't had an issue since.

I'm just saying bolts back out and need to be checked from time to time.
