Ported Throttle Body - Dash Warnings

I've just installed my PT, easy :-)

Now I have StabiliTrak warnings and Engine light on (on Dash display).

StabiliTrak warning went off after a few minutes driving.
Engine light still on.

Should I disconnect battery for a while?

I expect it's all a coincidence.
Car was fine and has just sat on the driveway for four days up to me installing PT.

Thx.

Disconnect the battery, and any time before you unplug engine electrical connections. Big Pain in the 4ss. You'll love the Throttle Body, great mod. I think you have to rev the engine , wide open throttle a few times too?? I had mine installed at Camaro5fest by JDP a few years ago..

FYI, for future battery disconnects, you can unhook the positive cable from under the hood.

That's a better Idea! :-)
Thx

Because, emptying the Trunk is a lot of work, especially if you close the Trunk (like an idiot) after disconnecting the battery there ... then have to tunnel in through the back seat to reconnect it to get the Trunk open again !! Durrrr Me :-( Ha Ha

Rtcat are you sure? I thought that was do give or get a Jump Start. The car electric runs off the little wire on the side of the battery. Why would JDP disconnect through the trunk?? I could be dead wrong

Good point, never thought of that. I have disconnected a couple times from under the hood, I will have to check into this one.

I use this location for my winter trickle charge too.

Yeah, That's what that post is for, charging and jumping other cars. The little wire on the battery in the trunk connects to the engine and accessories. Cool, Thanks.

Got it :-)
OK

Hint: put a piece of 4*2 sticking out of the Trunk so you can't close it!!

Or a rubber Mat on top of the latch area :-)

OBD connection

I got some cheap OBD bluetooth adapter from ebay (10$) and the Torque App from android store(couple bucks).

It clears codes and everything (except BCM related; abs, airbag etc.)

Saves you a lot of trouble on the long run, especially if you run beaters during the winters like I do.
