Finally...FINALLY...

just bought a red 1987 5.7 Iroc-Z.
the lady and I picked it up Tuesday.
spent an hour at DMV Wednesday.
it's now registered and insurance ready. title is in the mail.
(had to do change of ownership paper)
I'll post pics as soon as I figure out how to via iPhone.
paid 3200, my mechanic said it was a steal considering it's condition.
full diagnostic coming on Monday.
can't wait to fix her up ^.^

first song played on the two hour long drive home: Tears Don't Fall, Bullet For My Valentine.
after about the third song I listened to the engine all the way
home. sounds too beautiful to ignore..

I love those cars. I had a 1988 Iroc in high school when i was 17 and what a car that was. Congrats and enjoy!

I had a red 87 5.7 IROC, now have a Red 88 IROC with a ZZ502, awesome cars.

I haev a white Stock 5.7 Iroc 87 t-top car (well it was stock) 6yrs ago my main bearings spun so now its a 355 lol still a stock T-top car lol

ive always loved the third gen, just hope I can get a loan so I can fix it up enough to be a good daily driver. it's so badass >.<
the brakes suck and it's idling really rough..(methodically vibrating) dumped oil in it and cleaned out the coolant holder and dumped more coolant in..also replaced the sludge of break fluid that was left in it..nothing has changed so we'll see what my mechanic says Monday/tuesday

comments?/assistance?...

The Iroc came with the decals on the side of car that said "Iroc". Unless someone peeled them off its probably just a z28 but still a great car.
