Good to hear. Time will tell if we have better luck with the replacements.

true. but i think that it will be a reoccuring problem since the replacement pieces are the same as the pieces that came already installed in the car. Guess i better get the ready.

I just came back from the dealer earlier today and had mine replaced also. The new one looks great, seemed to be an easy install. Hope it's the only one I'll need!

Has anyone looked at the defective piece once it has been removed from the car? Curious to see what the back side of the piece looks like where the bubbling is.

Not much to see, the top cover lifts away from the back so the back of the back looked perfectly fine.

NOTE: I did feel a loose area on the new piece (if you rub your finger back and forth across you can hear the sticky glue sound). I'm guessing it's going to happen again... sigh.

Didn't even notice it ,but thanks now I can't drive 20 feet without looking at the bubble. Noticed the 45th door sill sticker on the peal too!

When I call these cars "Pandora's Box" I really mean it!
They're chock full of surprises...unpleasant surprises.
Every week you hold your breath, not knowing what's going to go wrong next.

Every car has these quality issues in their DNA. I'm afraid this could be one of them for 12-up 5th gens. Hopefully they'll find a fix.

Anyone remember the 2nd gen problems (besides 400 + squeaks and rattles) of the inner door pulls? I'm not saying to accept it, but there always seems to be that one common PITA issue with Camaros.

All cars do.
Though different manufacturers handle it differently.
So far Volvo has been the best for me, even after change of ownership.
GM not so much unfortunately.

Agreed.

The problems seem to be more frustrating for owners of specialty cars like Camaro and Corvette than for Cruze and Equinox. I think our expectations are set higher.

It's certainly not too much to expect a convertible that doesn't leak or fall apart. But that's another thread.
