Bump Steer
Getting ready to install BC's and drop the Bee...Anyone had issues with bump steer/Tie rod end issues? I was going to be safe and pickup the rod ends from LSR...Thanks...AZ5G

Hmmm....Looking at the geometry in the rear I wouldn't have considered that there'd be an issue with the rear...I'm guessing that I'll end up about 1.75F and 1.5R drop. I've searched the forum but haven't found many posts related to Tie rod/axel issues from lowering the car. ..Time and tools are not an issue.....Thanks for the input...AZ5G

When lowering the rear over an inch, the hard OEM CV boots can fail.It happened to me!

Are there any aftermarket boots or just OEM replacements??? Guess all that time I spent in Afganistan left me a bit out of the G5 loop....Anyone else have any other "Need to Know" things I should consider prior to diving in??? I really, really, appreciate all the feed back...Thanks guys...AZ5G

The Drive Shaft Shop(a vendor here) does a road course upgrade. I highly recommend it!

Going back to the opening post, why are you asking about "bump steer"?

I've been trying to find out if anyone has had any issues with tie rod ends after lowering the car. I do intend to go lower that 1". I went ahead and ordered the tie rod ends from LSR...Just to be safe.... I will make sure that I get the axels redone prior to putting things back together....Thanks for the Drive Shop advice....AZ5G

Under sever load, hard braking, the toe angle changes...Puts extraordinary stress on the tie rod ends...Front end does some interesting things. I've had issues prior to lowering the car. That will not be an issue with the new LSR tie rod ends as I can set the toe angle with the suspension loaded.

Does your alignment shop have the ability to measure bump steer?
