Cam Installed now throwing Engine codes/light
So I got a BTR stage 3 cam installed and tuned 4 weeks ago and just recently, the engine light keeps coming on. It has happened twice so far, all within a week with the last time being 2 days ago.
First time around I found 5 codes written: P2099 (3 times), P015D, and P015B. I cleared those codes and continued on my way per my tuner. 2 days ago it threw another engine light and this time it was just P2099. Can anyone explain why this code keeps getting thrown every few days? Is there something wrong or am I overthinking it and it just needs to be turned off via a tune? Prior email tune I had through RDP Motorsports never threw a code when I had LT headers and offroad pipes, not until I got cammed and had a local tuner tune it with HPTuners did it start. Only ever started seeing codes after the CAM install and its now irritating as I am thinking something is wrong with the car. Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Does it need fine tuning or just a matter of turning off those codes from activating?

His advice was free, why should the fix be?

I asked a simple 'do you think its this or that' style of a question to try and pinpoint what the solution could be. People like you are what ruin this forum.
I didn't ask for the 'fix' I asked him what he thought it could be because he has multiple years knowledge tuning LS engines, not me. I asked a simple question, if you don't like it don't bother commenting on this thread frankwjr All these forums are for learning, gaining knowledge and help, so maybe you should rethink your comment Thanks for the response Steve. I will try and work with him to figure it out.

Obviously your tuner did not do everything he needed to do when he tuned you car after the cam install and the tune. If I were you, I would not be too happy with your tuner at this point and would get him to take his time and fix it.

I have the same cam in my 15 1LE.
I also have full Kooks exhaust and long tubes plus the CAI etc... Steve did my tune and it worked great the 1st time out. No codes and the car runs great. I loaded the tune before even starting the car with the new cam. Just order the SCT from RDP and be done with it. Then if you add any more parts later on he will adjust your tune for free. Super easy deal.

I will contact him and try to get a copy of the tune. Thanks a bunch for your help Steve and your willingness to go out of your way to help. Definitely one of the greatest people I have worked with. I will email you the tune file when I get a copy of it from my tuner.
