ECS 1500 and HIGH IAT Temps

Ran my SS this weekend and after seeing over 2-3 mph drop after initial run. I datalogged it. This is when I found my iat at the starting line around 150+ and during the run it climbed over 200. Its like the intercooler wasn't even there! Lol! I thought it was suppose to be the other way around?
Coolant temp was pretty much the same as iat at the end of the run. Found some timing being pulled because of the temps.
A bit of kr showed up at the top of each gear also, I blame winter blend fuel for that, since I never saw any kr in the tune last fall. Thats another issue.

I'm new to centri blowers, any pointers? What's normal or acceptable?

Thanks!

the burnout will cause a rise in IAT for sure. but it should really cool down going down the track. My FMIC is bigger than the one you use for sure...but that FMIC you have works. I'll be watching for the feedback here for sure.
don't let it idle in the staging lanes for a long time either. Just get it up to temp and shut it off.

Those IAT temps are not normal. Have you verified that the coolant pump is even functioning? Those temps indicate to me the coolant is probably not even circulating.

Its an air to air intercooler.

Strange. While I have a corvette my IATs start 7-8F above ambient and at the end of a run go up ~30F. Definitely strange.

Where is the IAT located? Still using the stock location within the MAF?

Sounds almost like your IAT sensor got blown out of the tube. This happened to me once. Same indications

If he is using the stock maf IAT then it couldn't be blown out of the tube unless the whole maf is but then the car would run like ass and he could find that easy.

As a starting point, with a complete cold engine (as in one that has set for several hours) turn the key on to the second detent position without the engine running and log the IAT and compare it to the ambient air temp. The two temps should be very close to being identical.

good idea to check...IAT on a cold start should be real accurate against outside temps.
I agree with Unreal post #5, just for the record.

what pulley do you have on it? not how much PSI cause im sure you have a rest plate on it. just need to know how fast your spinning the thing. On the Dyno we will see 150-160 IATs. But on the street it should be alot cooler cause of all the airflow over it. BUT still need to know how fast your spinning that thing
