If I had a choice, one or the other when it comes down to huge power, or ultimate handling, I'd put it all into the suspension 100%, without a second though. With Camaros you make good power right off the bat, enough to be satisfied for a decent amount of time, so I'd absolutely invest in a good suspension.

I lowered my 12' SS purely for esthetics using SLP springs.

Now, going on that same theme I bought a set of BMR 1" drop springs for my 1LE before the car even arrived. I'm not 100% sure I'll use them or not though. I'll put a few more miles on it before making up my mind.

My personal favorites are the Hotchkis springs for a 1" drop and the Pfadt springs for a 1.25" drop. Both have excellent ride quality. Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions or for pricing.

Hotchkis 1" drop springs. Excellent ride quality, better handling, braking and looks. No rubbing or clearance issues. Waiting for my Pfadt ZL Spec sways from JDP.

Lowering your car improve gas mileage because it's more aerodynamic. I $hit you not.
