Question : is the V6 faster than anything?

O.K. you hate your Camaro...So??? I love mine. Your opinion is important to you but doesn't mean a thing to me...just as my opinion may mean nothing to you...O.K.??? Can we agree to disagree??? Buy another car! Not being a racer, I like fast cars but, I'm more into beauty and fine design....to me...this car has both. You seem to like being the antagonist....to belittle others for thier beliefs is really lowering yourself. You and any car you chose is not better than me....its all opinion...my opinion is all that really matters to me.......and your opinion is....oh well....I hear ya but, do I care.....nah...not really?

I'm 53 and can't remember how to act like "13" (your father needs to slap you). I have driven many cars/trucks with many different engine sizes. You state you are 18...how many cars have you driven and how can a couple of years driving experience of a few different cars give you the knowledge to discern that the Camaro V6 is slow and can be beaten by every other car??? Man....when I was 18 I knew I had a lot more to learn....I knew I did not know it all! Evidently....you are a genious....in your own mind.

One of my biggest pet peeves is a v8 owner, regardless of make, talking down to a v6 owner. I mean, at the track, I've beat my fair share of v8s, including Mustangs, Camaros,Chargers and even a Corvette. I've lost to some of those exact same cars, none of us talked trash about each other, but rather had few good laughs when they found out my car was a 6. No, most of the trash talking comes from this very forum, as some of the v8 guys can be very condescending, saying things like, "get the real Camaro before you talk". Seriously?

Like you, I respect all pony cars, the Camaro, Mustang and Challenger, although the Camaro is the only one I've ever wanted to own. I even respect the Charger's attempt at being a muscle car. I love the Corvette's finesse and muscle, and the Viper's pure unadulterated, in your face, audacity at being a sports car. it's brutal, and I love it!

If those two people piss you off that much, ignore their posts. They will find out that there really is no end all, be all car in this world, except by opinion. Doing the same thing they are doing doesn't make it right, and makes you look as bad as them.

Oh, and my v6 "muscle" is just as much "muscle" as your v8. WE are BOTH in pony cars, these aren't muscle cars. That title is reserved for the Chevelles, GTOs, Fairlanes, Falcons and Chargers of the world. Just to name a few.

My daughter bought me a book titled "Muscle Cars" by J.F. Newbery for my birthday. Its a real cool book (tons of great pics). All the cars in the book are from 1961 - 1974.

Here's just as taste of the cars in the book

5. Ford Galaxie 500
6. Plymouth Belvedere

lol....works for me!! Even though the v6 Camaro of today has more horsepower then some of those listed, depending upon year and such!

Of course, this generation SS doesn't sport a 396 either, lol, and the Z28 isn't out quite yet! I'll stand corrected though, in any case, lol!!
