Are you talking about motor oil?

I tried the amazon basics synthetic when I was trying to save some money on motor oil, and after a blackstone test my levels were out of whack, after I switched back to Mobil-1 the iron levels came back to the correct range and I will stick with.

Are yoiu SURE thats not an internet sized grain of salt rumor?

There is a rumor that Costco's Kirkland Signature French Vodka is produced by the high-end brand Grey Goose, but this is not true.1 Kirkland Signature American vodka is made by LeVecke Corp, while Gayant Distillery manufactures Kirkland Signature French vodka.4 Kirkland's French vodka is sourced from the Gensac Springs in France's Cognac region and has a silky mouthfeel with a sweet and bright taste.0 While the brands may have some similar ingredients and distillation practices, these are not coordinated efforts.3 A 1.75-liter bottle of Kirkland vodka costs around $20, while a bottle of Grey Goose costs around $48, meaning Costco shoppers are getting a seriously good deal on high-quality vodka.2
favicon

as for kirkland oil, i was told by canadian tire guy, my/our LFX oil has to have the Dexos1 additives in the 5w30

Kirkland food is pretty good don't know about their oil though. They sell that brand of stuff at Costco. It can't be very bad.

AGREED, if you are not going to use quality oils at least change the cheap stuff more frequently, like a 1000 miles quicker than GM oil light tells you to.

this is what i say about food too!
AVOID the hateful eight[processed oils] theyre poisonous to humans and in all fast food, processed food, even most fancy restaraunt food is contaminated with them.

SO i grow my own veggies and source my meats direct from local farmers

This is not for my Camaro...

If "cheap oil" has the same specs as "quality" oil..... then it's all just branding at that point.

People LIE all the time for little or no reason.

Add in a PROFIT MOTIVE and corprations will LIE ALL DAY LONG until caught.
Even then BIG CORPS will choose to keep lieing cuz the fines are small enough, profits large enough to pay for court fees and fines.[ this was ed nortons JOB in fight club to figure out these numbers]
Ive no examples of oil companies selling cheap inferior oil on the sly

BUT i do know MANY MANY food oil companies will cut their expensive Olive oil with cheap vegetable oil with nothing on the front label saying say,
SO you have to read the ingedients label to know.

Even more nefarious companies wont even list the foul cheap oil in the ingredients and hope to never get caught.
