Dissapointed in Muffler Delete - Page 5 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Yeah i couldnt imagine how loud that is. I have LTs with cats and a borla type s cat back. It sounds great but sometimes wish it was a little louder. One weekend i took the mufflers off and holy shit was it something else. Drone wasnt as bad as i thought it would be but boy it was attention getter. Thought about running it that loud but i like being able to cruise without being obnoxious. If it wasnt a daily i would probably run straight pipe all the time.

It really isn't bad, just sounds like it should. The dumps helped it a lot, made it deeper and rumble the car more.

I told my girl the exact same thing when she got in the car the first day i got it back from the shop with the cam and heads and magnaflow race mufflers

Surprised so few vids on this thread... would love to hear so many of your rides.

For what its worth... another Flowmaster fan right here. I had Flowmasters on my 99 Z28 and loved the exhaust tone... Got them for my 10 and never looked back. To this day, the purrr while cruising and the beast at WOT that 'flows' out is both therapeutic and exciting at the same time...

i really like magnaflow and corsa on any genIII/genIV sbc

i uploaded it in 4K. if you watch it on youtube, you'll get the best quality

Yeah that sounds good. The amusing thing is that I just happened to listen to it on my way home through my car speakers in my wife's Impala. And when the turn signal was on in the video

I had to check and make sure mine wasn't on. Also it only made me wish that I were driving my Camaro instead of the family car LOL

Apparently they don't emissions tests in Kansas. You can't get away with that in most states. Plus AOC will cut off your gonads because as the Head B!tC& in Charge (HBIC) will tell you we are going all emissions free.

But to the OP get a Borla catback and call it a day.

I never really got the point of just the muffler delete.. so many other restrictions in the system.

I run ARH 1 7/8 to 3 full off road system (no cats, Xpipe), into Doug Thorley muffler less CB. also has BTR stage 4 cam. Cold start is crazy obnoxious loud, but once its warmed up its not that bad (or maybe I'm just used to it LOL). It is a DD when the weather permits, but there are also no emissions tests in South Dakota. There is a noise ordinance though... Cops in this area a really cool about it though and will not ticket you unless your just being stupid. I've learned to find that RPM range and keep it tame, but when she wants to get nasty :P

Stock engines with loud exhaust sound too much like a truck with dual exhaust.
A cammed engine has a totally different (tuned ) sound than a stock one.

Why attract the wrong kind of attention such as police to have a minimal power increase?

I don't have a vid. I'd like to get one from behind with a hard launch. It's not terribly loud at idle or cruising but she flows at WOT. The Heartbeat likes the lack of restriction
