How long have you been back to your classes Jan, a week? Don't push too hard, but you have to keep at it. Don't throw in the towel either. This is where a professional may be able to offer up some advise. The trembling may be dietary. Do you eat before class?
If you keep it up, but lessen the intensity, you'll build up enough strength to reach that intensity again. We cannot exercise like 20 and 30 year olds. Congrats to your brother Ed! That is very cool. Got up to 85* here today.

The biggest mistake folks make when getting back into shape is pushing themselves too hard too fast. Best is always slowly working the muscles, and giving them time to recover, without over stressing the muscles. The first two weeks it's better to use only very light weights with higher reps. As soon as you start to feel discomfort - STOP. Your breathing should not be pushed beyond the point where you are unable to speak without gasping. You should be able to talk like normal. There's no fast way to get in shape. The majority of people whom sign up for classes quit because they get too sore. Plus who the heck wants self inflected pain? We get enough aches and pains just from getting older. Hmm, speaking of short cuts??? Aqualipo? I've know several "short cut" gals, always look'n for the easy way around thing. Diet pills, lipo, or whatever new gimmick is the "in thing" today. Lipo will work, but there are definite consequences for taking the easy way. And by "easy way" I mean instead of eating healthy and exercising. The body has a predetermined number of fat cells. Those cells, either enlarge or stay small, depending on your eating and activity levels. The best example of enlarged fat cells is to look closely at cellulite. You can see the "lumpiness" of the enlarged fat cells. Lipo permanently removes those fat cells. So what's the big deal, isn't that the whole idea, to get rip of the fat cells? Short answer - NO. If you haven't changed your lifestyle/eating habits, sure you no longer have those fat cells to store the fat, well actually you don't have the fat cells in that particular area, so the fat Immediately Goes Somewhere Else. And now you have a Brand New Fat Problem Area. So people whom don't change their eating habits, get lipo, then in just a few years time, go back to get lipo again in their new problem area, again and again. Like a dog chasing their tail, they're just moving the problem around. Works great if you change your lifestyle and stick to it. And sure some people have a real stubborn area. They've been eating healthy for years and years, exercise regularly, but still just can't get rid of the last little bit of fat. I see no problem with some sort of lipo, some laser procedures are 100% non-invasive. You just lay on the table and the laser penetrates the subcutaneous layers literally melting and draining the fat from the cells. Doesn't come cheap, you'll be spending thousands $$$. But it's absolutely a personal choice and if that makes the person happy, to each their own. It's their life and their business. I'd do plenty of research first, for the negatives and positives. |

Thanks Normagene!
Give it time Jan. I moved a belt hole today, went from using hole #3 to hole #4. Little things like this have to be your motivation.

Last time I visited the home office, I caught a female co-worker checking me out, especially my butt. Oh, and I have declared today a carb day to celebrate. Had a small mocha frappe with breakfast.

Thanks crew for the input. I feel some better today. Still sore but not as bad. I think it will help when I shift gears to the YMCA. I will have more choices of classes, hopefully better instructors who are better at motivating & helping you pace yourself or giving guidance, more other options (pool, track, weights, etc) and also hopefully classes that are also fun. I need some of my fitness time to be fun. That joy takes the edge off the stressing of your muscles, lungs & endurance. I then don't mind as much the parts of the fitness routine that ware not so fun.
It was a very busy day at work so I have a lot of work to do. Have a good evening crew.

Last week, actually experienced a number of days when daily high just above freezing and saw snow starting to melt away. I do not expect all this winter leftover gone until sometime in April.
Finally (!) took the Camaro to car wash last Tuesday. $24.00 for a body wash, crap cleaning but it helped. Two more weeks will take the Camaro to a self-service wash and power wash all the little crevices. Have my appointment with my auto detailer April 20, min. $185 but worth every cent (LOL...cents went out of circulation a few years ago in Canada!). Jan, consistently amazed you can deal with children and their issues daily. You are a very special person. Lipo and weight loss: Learned over 40 years ago in my business of design attractive people get ahead faster than non-attractive people. Do not agree, but it is a fact more emphasis placed on personal appearance then qualifications in my business. 1996, had lipo to remove fat from mid body. Dumped a few pounds of fat cells, never to return. Striving to keep a 31 in belt line in my mid 40s. The pain and expense with lipo was worth it in the long run. Stopped exercising and watching my diet 15 years ago so yes have gained pounds and inches. But due to lipo back in the mid-1990s still have a 34-inch belt line at age 64. |

And now with aqua lipo, they can do it without any down time or damage to nerves & surrounding tissue ane the fat cells they remove come out so clean that they can be replaced in the body parts where we females want them! As a female who is severely underendowed that is a problem. I learned last year when I was at my lowest weight since I was a teen, that long before all this tummy fat goes, I will have nohing left for a push-up bra to push up. Not acceptable. They do not make women's clothes for flat chested women & it is just not fun being a flat chested woman. I never wanted implants but my own fat? That I could accept.

I've read about this, and watched how it's done. Autologous fat, they (a lab) separates and removes the stem cells which are in-turn injected into the Breast area. Your own natural Breast cells, which grow, after a six months to a year you reach full development. Just injecting your fat without autologous process the fat breaks down and gets reabsorbed into the body. So skip that one. There's actually three procedures/processes. Autologous is currently the best. Very pricey, but it last and doesn't get absorbed. |

Here's a quick explanation of using stem cells from fat.
STEM CELL BREAST AUGMENTATION METHODSPROCEDURERESULTBREAST RECONSTRUCTIONTESTIMONIALSFAQ Methods of Breast Augmentation with Autologous Fat (Lipofilling) Autologous fat provides the basis for three natural breast augmentation methods. They differ in terms of the complexity of the procedure and the average sustainability of the breast volume obtained. The methods range from standard lipotransfer to a complex enrichment of autologous fat with autologous stem cells prior to implantation. Stem cell-enriched autologous fat (cell-assisted lipotransfer, CAL) Prior to implantation, stem cells are extracted from a portion of autologous fat by a complex process in a specially equipped laboratory and added to the remaining body fat. A much longer-lasting result is achievable with this stem cell-enriched fat than with other methods. In the long term, most of the volume normally retains, hence one intervention generally suffices. Stem cell-concentrated autologous fat Autologous fat is concentrated prior to implantation in order to increase the number of viable cells per unit volume. When the procedure is carried out using an optimal technique, a significant portion of the volume is normally retained long-term, hence refreshments may be necessary. Standard lipotransfer “Untreated” autologous fat is implanted without changing the stem cell content. When the procedure is carried out using an optimal technique, only a small portion of the volume is normally retained long-term, hence refreshments are necessary. |

Good info. It is probably only a pipe dream for me anyway. Unless I win the lottery.
I went to my one free day at the Y today. I got a tour, did some sprint/fast walk/walk laps on their track then took a class. Okay, I guess I have spent enough time being mad at the YMCA. I liked the track & the facility & the class was fun & a good workout. I found my workout place now!
