anyone thinking of painting rock molding

never liked the black plastic on light colored cars, so i painted it, did not do anything to the front, i need to touch up a few spots, but i do like it, so if some of you have thought about it here is an idea what it may look like

Very nice! How does it look from the rear? Was it hard to paint?

it may be for some but to me you lost the contrast of the ground effect with all the white. i like the way the kits look raw on the white and yellow cars personally. having all black i too have lost some body lines to the blackness. alot of people dont recognize my black car as a ZL-1 cuz theyre so used to seeing them red (almost every mag article or add has a red one) and with the black it all fades together. most people tell me my camaro looks bad ass with those rims and they dont even realize its not an SS with rims its a ZL-1!

That was one of the first mods I tasked Becky D at Rodgers Chevrolet to do for my ZL1

Im curious, has anyone thought about putting a completely different ground effects kit on(i.e. Riazzi)? I have a victoy red ZL-1 convertible on the way and considered painting the rockers like you did, but don't really like the look of the rockers to begin with and think they actually look better with the black contrast than painted. But I think a painted Riazzi kit would look bad azz.

I agree. The black ZL1's look like an SS. The contrast of black moulding and stripe is needed to emphasize the highlights of the ZL1.

Are your wheels standard? They look grey, I like em. Also like how your stripe wraps around rear spoiler. Nice job!
