Question Brake pads?

OE pads from dealership: (parts only, no labor) $245 front, $149 rear.

**** me that's pricey.

Pads at Oreilly are considerably cheaper, ($80-100 range for fronts) but do not feature the anti-squeal roller skates.

Don't wanna bend over for the dealership, but don't want sh_t pads either. Ideas?

I just bought Wagner Thermo Quiets for the front from Oreillys. Havent installed em yet, but read a few good reviews on them on here. I bought the house brand BrakeBest for the rears. Hope to have everything installed this weekend.

I cut my roller skates off before installed my brembos and havent heard a noise yet? If your wanting to upgrade also you may want to look at EBC and or Hawk pads, i've had good luck with ebc in the past

OMG dude, I love the skates. Without them the car was shrieking like an 80-year-old jalopy. People were giving me the eye at lights, it sounded broken.

Thought about Hawk pads though, heard they're good stuff. Just don't want to pay for them and end up squealing again....

Let me know, might get me by until aftermarket starts making decent repros...

Get the hawks NOW! Car stops so much better. I will only get a slight squeal if my car is super dirty
And even then, it's not nearly as bad as my stock brembos WITH skates.

How was the car without skates?

Only ever had stock pads with skates , or hawk pads. The hawks are worth it, for sure. Only squeals a little when brakes/car very dirty.

And no damn brake dust!!!

Give the Hawk HPS pads some thought. Expect better braking from them than from the ceramics, at probably a slight increase in dust (which washes/dry wipes off readily).

I have the HPS pads on three of my cars and the only times I've noticed any noise on any of them was when a piece of grit got caught between the pad and the rotor (fixed by making a couple of hard stops ).

Let us know how the Hawks work out for you. I'm also wondering if I can lose the rollerskates somehow without adding squeal. My stock Brembos make a bit of noise already now and then. It would be nice to find a solution that was quieter, stopped as well or better, and allowed lighter weight 19" wheels.
