Is This a Crime?
Hypothetically, would it be a crime if I wanted to sell my 5th gen 2LT and buy a 4th gen Z28? I absolutely love my baby, but since I got a 2012, I don't have any money to modify it and use its full potential.
--->Don't get me wrong; these Camaros are well worth the $20k+ we all paid for them. I'm not trying to talk them down<--- What I am wanting to do is spend around $7k, $8k on the car itself, then be able to invest another $15k to bring out the beast! ->Obviously $15k is not enough to max it out; this would be merely the beginning<- What do y'all think? |

I got the car, then discovered how much of a drive I have for cars *no pun intended*. I knew I liked them before I got it, but nowhere near this much haha.

The LS1 had about 5-10 less hp but about 60 more ftlbs of tq...which is why it was a mid 13 second car to the low 14 of the V6 5th Gen Camaro. It isn't always about hp.
To the OP, don't do the trade. It would not make any sense. You have a brand new car with absolutely no issues or problems. You know exactly what has been done to it and how it has been driven. And you have a full warranty. The car is beautiful, the heat and AC work, the radio works, no quirks, etc. Why trade all that for an 11 year old car that may have who knows what problems just lurking for you? Even a low mileage one isn't worth it. You don't what has happened to it in its life. Enjoy your new Camaro for now. Do little things to it a little at a time. In a year or two, see if you can upgrade to an SS...even if its a used one. But don't get rid of it to get an 11 year old used car. |

I don't think he can afford it. That is why he wants to get rid of the 5th Gen and get an older F-Body...so he can have some money for mods.
Absolutely! |

I would keep the car you have. The 4th gen fbody isn't that great of a car. All the fastest ones out there aren't even close to the way they came. You would have to do a bunch of work to it to make it good. The v8 4th gen is probably not as good as the v6 6th gen in terms of power.
