I cant get over the similarities to a GTR (looks wise) at certain angles.

I saw that straight away, also. Directing air towards the rear spoiler, the look of the wheels, overall stance. I guess the GT-R's .26 cd got Ford's attention.

Not hard to predict a newer car on a newer chassis to be lighter then the z28. Everyone knows how fat that chassis is so it doesn't take much to come in much lighter. Having said that gm is in trouble. Between the 350/350r and now the "gt" Chevy is gonna have nothing to compete with either cars. God forbid Ford drops a new gt500 varaint. That would just be the nail in the coffin for them.

Anyone else have this thought?

We all speculated how tough it would be to create this FPC engine in the new GT350 & "R" version but they have one in the car and and we can all hear it. BUT, and its a big BUT why no specs? Two major car launches and all we get is somewhere over 500 and nothing else. I'm actually wondering if they have an issue they are still trying to work out and the launch comes up so we get to hear an idle and couple throttle rapps and a very short video of it doddering along and nothing else. Just makes me wonder if there is a team of engineers locked in a lab somewhere freaking out and yelling " it still vibrates and doesn't work" and thats why we can't get a number. Because they can't give one? Hmmmmm?

Sorry Todd but this is nothing new. It's meant to wet the palate without letting you taste it.

Maybe you haven't heard the rumor that Chevy is working on a new Camaro and Zora. GM also has a Powertrain Development Headquarters that employees 3800 people. Just because you can't see it today doesn't mean it isn't coming.

Chevy kicked ass with the gen5 Camaro and C6 Corvette. I have no doubts that they will take it to a whole new level with the new engine and chassis platforms. The LT1, LT4 and Z06 are just the beginning.

+1. What gets me nervous is that Ford hasn't really messed with the Coyote yet. I think they are waiting to see what comes out of the GM camp for the Camaro. Shit, we might start seeing the EBV6 from the Ford GT trickle down into the Mustang

Ford could make the Coyote a 475hp/425TQ motor without trouble.

Combine that with the new 10 speed auto from the Raptor..and you could easily see a Mustang that can get 30 HWY MPG, 20 city and still burn down low 12's in the quarter
