pirelli 19 inch slicks
pirelli slicks
Has anyone used the Pirelli DH slicks sizes 315-705-19 and 295-680-19. they are 1.05 inches higher in back and .86 inches higher in front over the stock Goodyear 3r 19 inch will that cause interference with the inner felt wheel liners as the car compreses on track and I believe the wiring harness in wheel well in LR if anyone has experience I would welcome a comment. thanks, Larry |

Have not personally, but from what I've heard they will rub a good big at full load and lock (they may self clearance themselves). Also if you haven't move rear fender well wiring harness I would do so as a percaution.
As far as the change in diameter messing with the computer, I don't know much there. cheers,

Those are some very tall tires.
The largest tires I've ran include... I have ran Michelin 30-68-18 on all four, they worked but were a bit too tall in my opinion for the front. I have also ran Pirelli 305-660-18 front and 325-680-18 rear (not really any room to spare) on apex sm10s 18x11 & 18x12 and that worked with no rubbing I have relocated the left rear wiring harness and clearance the front struts. Good info thanks! I'd like to try running them and can't decide on whether to use my 19x11 square wheels, or get a new set of 18x11 squares....The gearing on the SS 1LE isn't that great, at least at the few tracks I have been on. 2nd is too short/3rd too tall in places and the 4-5th jump is awful. Stock 305/20 is 27.2 and the 305/19 I'm running is 26.3 and I really don't want to go shorter. I was thinking of either the 295/680 or the 305/690... What led you to believe the 68 was too tall? 295/680/19. 10-11. 11.4 26.9 DH 305/690/19 10.5-11.5 12 27 DH 315/705/19 11.5-12.5 13.1 27.75 DH 325/705/19 12.5-13.5 13.4 27.75 DH It does seem like there is more options with the 18" however... 305/660/18 10.5-11.5 12.1 26 DH 305/680/18 10.5-11.5 12.1 26.8 DH 315/680/18 11-12 12.4 26.8 DH 325/660/18 11.5-12.5 12.5 26.1 DH |

I felt like the 68 was too tall because one it looked HUGE in the wheel well and it would rub a little bit in the front fender liner when turning.
As far as I know Only Ferrari Challenge uses 19in Pirelli slicks 99% of GT race cars run 18s. So lots of 18in take offs available. I really like 305/645/18 and 325/660/18 combo on the SS 1LE. Even with my tire poking out of the fender some I'm not worried about any rubbing. |

my best times ever in a dedicated caged gen 5 track mule was the 305 680 19 Pirelli DH scuffs on all 4 corners. they were several seconds faster than hoosiers on that heavy car.
