Post Gear Ratio/RPM/MPH Spreadsheet in MS Excel ...

>> DOWNLOAD SPREADSHEET HERE <<

You enter transmission gear ratios, diff ratio, rim diameter, and tire section height.
Rim dia. & section height calculates tire dia. & revs per mile which when multiplied with the gear ratios calculates RPM in all gears at 60 MPH, MPH in all gears at 2000 RPM, plus a few other cacualtions that I could fit on the page.

Here is an example of 1 column ...

Camaro 1LS
V6 MT
Displacement 3.6L / 217.3c.i.
Horsepower 304 @ 6400
Torque 273 @ 5200
Curb Wgt. 3741 lbs.
Wgt. : HP ratio 12.3
EPA Mileage 17/29 MPG
Fuel Tank Size 19.0 Gal.
Range per tank 323/551 Miles
437 ave.

1st Gear 4.480 :1
2nd Gear 2.580 :1
3rd Gear 1.630 :1
4th Gear 1.190 :1
5th Gear 1.000 :1
Overdrive 0.750 :1
Differential 3.270 :1

Tire Size (rear) 245/55- 18
Section Height 5.305
Tire Dia. 28.610
Revolution/Mile 727

1st @ 2000 RPM 11 MPH
2st @ 2000 RPM 20 MPH
3rd @ 2000 RPM 31 MPH
4th @ 2000 RPM 42 MPH
5th @ 2000 RPM 50 MPH
O.D. @ 1000 RPM 34 MPH
O.D. @ 1500 RPM 50 MPH
O.D. @ 2000 RPM 67 MPH
O.D. @ 2500 RPM 84 MPH
O.D. @ 3000 RPM 101 MPH
O.D. @ 3500 RPM 118 MPH

1st @ 60 MPH * 10651 RPM
2st @ 60 MPH * 6134 RPM
3rd @ 60 MPH 3875 RPM
4th @ 60 MPH 2829 RPM
5th @ 60 MPH 2377 RPM
O.D. @ 60 MPH 1783 RPM
O.D. @ 75 MPH 2229 RPM

... looks MUCH BETTER in the spreadsheet !!

Spreadsheet is in landscape format and is currently 5 pages wide with 8 cars per page (40 cars total). Page 1 is all the 2010 Camaro variations, Page 2-5 is all the Mustang, Challenger, Genesis Coupe variations as well as 6 other sporty RWD coupes and 10 4-door RWD sedans.

Inital reason for making this was I wanted to compare the 2010 Mustang, Camaro, and Genesis Coupe specs to my previous 1994, 1998, & current 2004 Mustang. Started as a comparison for potential MPG & mile range per tank, but it could easily be altered to show performance stats like MPH in each gear at Redline, etc.

The actual spreadsheet is pretty much finalized, I just don't know HOW to post it !!

Hooy:

I just e-mailed you a copy as well as two others (20camaro10 & alex33x) that requested it. If any of you guys know how to post it in the forum, feel free to do so.

Any mods interested in putting this somewhere on the web site, let me know.

I remember working on something like that but I lost it when I had to reformat my computer. Send it to Tran and he can get it posted for you.
