For an initial check whack them with a rubber mallet to see if it rattles. This is also an indicator that's it's breaking down.

Yes, they should be solid but it only in an indicator that something is wrong. The only way to really know for sure is remove them and look in the inlet.

Also another note, the car can go into limp mode and throw the codes while still cold. I had this happen this morning. Its so weird, driving for two minites in limp mode and then the car comes back to life fully but the cel stays on.

Pop the top off the intake manifold and take a look at your valves to see if this is the problem. It's a good time to clean them also. This sound way too familiar to mine. Take a look on the obd data and if possible see if the fuel is being leaned out durning this period of misfires.

You really need to check your intake manifold and runners. If there's nothing there, seafoam it.

I lied. Upon tearing at the manifold and inspectimg that dip at the front, that damn piece did partially fall out :-(.... oh im soo upset now, im worried it may be lodged somewhere.

First time I looked somehow I never noticed it. Also, the hole is filled with oil, im guessing thats normal? If I find and remove the piece am I safe driving the manifold with that piece missing?????

I have heard of porting issues like that, you need to remove the manifold and look down each port, remove any material there, it could be causing a valve to hang open- not good.... That's why I never recommend any type of adhesive porting...

It should be just blocking to port, causing the cylinder to run massively rich and misfiring.

Alright, I got the piece out and put everything back together. This was also a good time to clean up the tb and manifold so I got it very clean.

Out for a test run.
