How do I drain my catchcan?

I bought the car used, has a Moroso catch can that does not have the little drain line on the underneath. It feels like a bolt. Is there an easy way to drain this?

Put a cup underneath and unscrew the Bolt.

I was afraid of that. Very little room underneath.

I'm not familiar with the Moroso can, but if there is a drain bolt on the bottom you should be able to replace that with a brass drain petcock from a auto store. Then attach a hose to it and feed it down to the underside of your car. Then you can just put a cup under the hose and open the petcock to drain.

*You'd probably have to zip-tie the hose in a couple of places to keep it in place.

Thanks. This is probably a stupid question, but is the catch can two pieces like the picture below? If so, shouldn't I be able to just unscrew the bottom half to empty it? There is absolutely no room for a cup under this thing. Thanks

You should be able to loosen the screw on the mounting bracket, and slide the whole can up and out. Then unscrew the drain cap at the bottom to empty it.

Tell you what. Based on your engine photo I can see the problem. My V6 catch can is much simpler so I think the easiest way to fix is if we trade cars.

Well the good news is that there was very little oil in there. I put a towel underneath the can and unscrewed the bolt slowly. The car only has 1200 miles on it so I guess I kinda gambled that there wouldn't be much in there. There was only enough to fill the little plug screw. I will use slingshots suggestion next time. Thanks all!

I changed my oil for the first time after putting on a catch can. It's been around 12 months & ~1000 miles. I was really surprised what came out of there. Not in quantity but quality. May put one on my dd now.
