Torque converter slip?
Sometimes when I really give my car some throttle at low speeds the engine revs really rapidly like it would if I were spinning the wheels but Im not breaking traction. This is with traction control and stabiltrack off. Is the torque converter not locking up?

Occasionally mine delays and then kicks in far later than I intended....also it tends to rev/race when making a gentle start at a light....also torque converter IMO. I can't see how they'd let the traction control/stabilitrack out of development if this is intentional. The dealer/mechanic blames too much torque to contain, I think it's bunk.
