What about Pirelli P Zero Max Performance Summer?
Front: 285/35ZR20 Rear: 305/35ZR20
only problem is see is that it has higher thread wear on rears same on front compared with good years, but i hear it has better traction.
Also about 400 USD higher in all tires

An important thing to consider when talking tires and ZL1 coupes, is Performance Traction Management. I spoke with the engineers who worked on this system when we were in Virginia last February:

It's important to note that PTM was designed explicitly with the F1 G:2 Eagle's in mind. Swap them out, and you're going to lose some functionality of PTM, because it's not calibrated for any other tire. There is no "gaining" functionality with PTM. How much you lose is unknown, though, and depends entirely on the tire you've put on.

I bring this up because the only other car people that have to think about this...is the Corvette ZR1 owners/racers...and I don't think we hear much from many of them...

...of course, if you don't care about or use PTM...disregard!

I would look into Michelin SuperSports personally...have heard many good things about those. But I'm very impressed with the OE tires; impressed enough want to replace them with OE tires, again.

I'm going to try the Michelins next due to the strange nature of the Goodyears at cold temps and their hockey puck to hot glue change as the temps rise.

That is a noticeably taller tire as also indicated by the size. How much does that affect acceleration and the speedometer?

That looks awfully tall for a 35 series tire? I know 315's need a stiffer sidewall than 305's. No rim protector either but looks like it will work. I have used on a different car the Michelin Factory pilot series tires in the past with good sucess with fast wear as it was a sticky tire. I also tried Pireli P zeroes and liked them when they got hot, took longer to get them up to temp but worked well. The Goodyears will work just fine for me here in So Cal.

The + size Michelins do not rub and they do have a rim protector. Look again at the pics and you will see it. It does not stick out like the Goodyears. Also the revolutions per mile for 315 PSS is 726. The 305 Goodyear is 735. Pretty close.

That definitely looks too tall. Remember the plus one rule. It should be a 30 series tire; 315/30/20 which should bring the profile and overall tire height in line with the OEM tire. I don't even know if anyone makes that size tire. Curious to know what's the measured height is compared to stock.

I just sent this through Michelin's Contact form on their website.

My stock tire sizes on my Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 are:

285/35-20 (Front)
305/35-20 (Rear)

When are you guys going to offer the missing sizes we need in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's and the Michelin Pilot Super Sports? We don't want to mix and match tires between the front and back or go with a different size altogether. When I say we I speak on behalf of the Camaro community.

If you guys want them to make the missing tire sizes we need available with out having to mix and match these two brands or going with a different size then I suggest you guys do the same.

Living in Boston, I'm gonna stick with the Goodyears for summer street and track use and swap in the direct replacement Pirelli winter tires for the 6 mos of cooler weather. Not a fan of how the Michelins look on the car..

Thanks Sling Shot. Just for info I talked with reps from Hankook at SEMA and they said that they have no plans to make OEM sizes for the ZL1 this year.
