3.73 Gears

Anyone have any 1/4 mile before and after time slips with 3.73 gears?

I'm in the process of getting 3.70s as we speak. May make a run this upcoming Wednesday. So I'll be going from 3.27 to 3.70s. Weather is a whole lot warmer, but time will tell. I'll keep you updated.

I'm looking at having around 525rwhp or so before the blower, and over 700 after the blower and meth. I originally wanted to go with 3.91's, but one of the guys that I got a quote from told me that he personally wouldn't go anything more than a 3.73 with my car(I have an A6 btw) and 3.73's would be just fine for that kind of horsepower. He used to work for Hennessey for a while and also Nick from Lethal Racing agreed on it too. Why would you be scared?

Cool. I'm guessing won't be much difference from a 3.73 I'm just looking to see what kind of 60' gain and how much quicker it gets there.

Just noticed you are from southern louisiana. I'm going to try and make it to No problem raceway this Wednesday. If I don't get called back to work, and weather permitting. My best 60 ft as of now is a 1.49. No problem is pretty infamous for bad track prep. We shall see how she hooks up.

exactly what I was thinking. why put money into a diff that is one of the weakest links on the drivetrain

as for gains I believe prostockjohn gained .2 on his et going to 3.91 gears on an A6 car, it's in his sig his different times with each added mod

That's something I'll look into when I get my blower in the future. That's the best differential they have for 3.73?

You've gotten 1.49 with 3.27s. Nice. My best is a 1.89 so far. What you have done to your car?

Damn that's more gear then most people run on a blower car.
Are you also running a converter?

Just bolt ons. Intake, headers, PTB, yank 3600, cutouts. I run on 18in racemasters with 17in skinnies up front. On a 93 tune.
