On a highway there are other cars you could hit. On a track there are walls and possibly 1 other car you could hit.
On a highway, there are no witnesses to post your win to YouTube. On a track, there are stands with people in them. On a highway, the roads are maintained only when the budget allows it and when there is a need. On the track, the street is maintained to allow drivers optimum performance on a regular basis. On a highway, you pay the toll to get to your destination. On a track, you pay admission to race without the risk of getting pulled over or killing someone. Either way, you could lie about your win. You're right. However, you paid admission to race legally and with less risk to yourself and the people around you.

basically the guy was asking a question if you forgot.
(the 2nd run was much better his car ran alot stronger the 2nd time around...i say that cuz the first run i was in 3rd and the 2nd was in 2nd gear so he ran a good car length faster the 2nd run....why is that?) i cant answer that. but hey things happen. |

maybe he was messing with the paddles the first one, and then for the second pushed it into sport mode.

Mkay, guys -- try to stay on topic, please. He was not street racing, rather it was on an old abandoned road.
At worst, he could have crushed a deer...which would've SUCKED!.... |

man the 390's hurt if you ask me..i should have gone with a 373 or a 410....at 125 i shift into 5th which sucks...i did some reading about my question that i asked and what im reading is telling me that the computer in the car realizes that your getting on it and it adds degrees of timing...all in all i am happy with tonight, it was a great night to do it and all of the people involved where really cool guys no trash talking to excuse making just a hey man you have a fast car and a hand shake

So basically as long as someone claims they were on an abandoned road they can circumvent the "no street racing" policy? Kind of violates the spirit of the rule IMHO...

L99 A6 is faster than an 06 Mustang GT.
The only way a stock GT is going to beat an L99 A6 is because the L99 is stuck in low octane mode (which we all know is a major issue with many of them - fuse pull needed) or the driver of the A6 is trying to use the tap shifts and he sucks at it. |
