That's what I want to know, also. I'm still eyeballing this but I'm also considering other cams.

What are the difference between these cars and the cars hitting 500rwh with a NF cam, aside from weather, altitude, etc?

Were these cars run on 93 octane gasoline?

My guess is long tubes, no cats, cai, etc... basic bolt ons. No heads. Btr 4 hits about the same. Can be pushed out to 500.

I'm going to guess they'll say something along the lines of a ported intake manifold and throttle body to get those numbers.

The 2014 M6 has a CAI, 2" headers, Cam Package. None of the cars have a ported intake or throttle body. They were all tuned on 93 octane.

When a good intake, CAI or Rotofab, are used with 1 7/8 headers, NGKTR6 or colder plugs, along with a 160 stat then the NF Cam dyno numbers are usually between 470-480 rwhp.

We have seen the Electronic Power Steering Camaro consistently dynoing 7-11 rwhp more.

All the cars where the NF cam hits 500rwhp have ported cylinder heads.

Thanks, Shawn. I appreciate the response!

And here I thought the 500rwh number was "cam only." lol

Still impressive to be true cam only (untouched heads) in the 480 range.

Hey Shawn my 2010 ss ls3 hit 474 and 444 with nf cam k&n intake kooks 1 7/8 lth ptb UDP and 3.91's. Do you think I should gain more if I swap out my k&n intake with a cai?

Taco - what are the specs of your build? If I recall, you went 416/417/418....

I, too, have a 416 - on the HP dyno in Katy (mustang dyno) I hit 465 a while back. Had them re-tune it, and they didn't get any additional power, but it's much more driveable than it was prior to the new tune.

I know my issue is that the motor is built for boost (relatively low CR at 10-10.5 to 1, blower cam instead of NA) and think that I could pretty easily bust into the 500s with a new NA cam, and bumping up the CR via new pistons, or milling the heads, along with a thinner gasket if necessary...

My only question now is do I want to save for the blower, and just go nuts with the power, or stick with NA, and get a 'rebuild' to get in the low-mid 500s.....cost comes into play big time when looking at the necessary drivetrain/suspension mods required when you start cracking the 600+ mark, which would be blown out of the water if I put a blower on it...

I would think that if yours is a straight NA build, that you should be right at, or just above the 500hp mark...Cam choice may play a big role - if you want to keep decent street manners, you're going to have trouble getting big #'s (550+) is what I've been told

Did you get a 102 intake manifold? Trying to decide if it's worth it right now for me to get one....

Just wondering what cubic inch you have. I have the 102 with stock cubes. Most of what I have read the 102 is over kill for stock cubes, but I plan on going 420+cubes.
