Does this make sense???!!
Alright so I'm browsing the web trying to find a good deal on a vehicle like any normal civilian would do. I find two cars that I really like so I email each one of the dealerships and I request more info. I'm looking for a 2013 2LT with RS package.
1st. situation the guy quotes me a 31,000 price range, online they clearly state a 27,000 price range. I email him back and I'm wondering What The F?! The guy says that bc I don't live in the region that the car is in he can't give me the incentives. Alright. 2nd. situation this is a used car it has like 3,000 miles on it but it's a 2013. The guy quotes a 29,800 price range and he states that he is unable to come down from this price range at all. For a used car?? This high? When I can get a new one for less than this. Might as well get a new one and lower the price with incentives. |

Did dealer #1 say which incentives weren't available because of region?
I'd go for a new one using whatever incentives are available. The $1000 private cash is available now when you "build your own" Camaro on the Chevy website. I don't think that is region specific. I don't think using the GM credit card is regional either. Your lender might even have incentives. I'd call another dealer close to #1 and ask about incentive availability. |

Nope he didn't he said that he saw that I'm in TN and he was all the way in Illinois, so he didn't bother the first time I emailed him it was only until like the second time that I emailed him that I got a response.
Yeah I think you are right too. Paying 29,800 for a used I would rather pay 30,000 for a brand new one. I'll look into more incentives, so far I got the 750 usaa, and the private cash that you mentioned and the regular 1,000 rebate that they are going for this month. |

The only incentive I know of that may be affected by your location is the "auto show cash".
Your private offer is not region specific, sounds like you need to find another dealer. |

You can't get anyone to come down on price unless you are sitting in front of them. It's a lot harder to say "no" to your face. You need to look invested in the sales process, like the salesperson. If you're not sitting there, they don't take you seriously.
I've never gotten screwed on a car, but every single time has taken pretty much a whole day of me sitting there with the salesperson, manager, and finance person to get what I wanted. If you don't have that kind of patience, talk to someone on Camaro5.

Contact your local dealers or use the "Request a Quote" on the Chevy website. You will then be working with local dealers (which you need to do anyway, unless you plan to travel to pick it up). See what they can find for you.
Or as noted, contact Becky. |
