That would blow my mind, that just sucks, Damn. I'd go with new car or let them fix it and if its not to your liking go with a new vehicle. If thats an option Good luck

Carls241, weren't you the guy who originally wanted CGM but changed to Black because of CGM's constraint? Maybe this is your sign that CGM is for you. I know the wait has been long and I am not sure that I could send a car back that I have waited for for over 1/2 a year. If you can wait, I bet your dealer will sweeten the pot on your next order. Once again good luck with your decision.

Tough call....
If you do decide to take it obviously ask for something off the price or something thats of value to you for the damage. Accepting something that they can "give away" cheaply that you don't want is no deal. And if you decide to take it with the above, make sure that you get in writing that they will stand behind the repair 100% for X years. You don't need to notice 2 years from now that the repaired sections are starting to fade, or the color is mismatched due to whatever. Hard decision - great looking car! Let us know what you decide...

OMG! I cannot believe this. I'm so sorry. If this would have happened to me I think I would have had a seziure on the spot. I would have needed a straight jacket for sure. gtjacket says that he doesn't think anyone can say what they would do unless that had happened to them but I know for sure that I could. I would deffinately have them fix the car and as long as you couldn't notice in any way whatsoever their had been any damages, it would have to be perfection, I couldn't bare to get back in line to order again. Even if it were only a month wait I still couldn't do it. Also you should demand to get some form of discount. If their a good dealer than they will. If not there's not much you can do about it because they can very easily turn around and sell it in one day to anyone else without a problem. If that were to happen then that's a total different issue to address. Hope this helps and again, I am soooo sorry. I feel so bad for you. Hang in there.

agree for the most part my car was damaged too, but like he said if they fix it, it has to look perfect. take it out in direct sun check the paint match, check for overspray(my car had overspray on the trunk and they painted a fender for example), buff swirls, etc. its been a long wait don't settle for anything less than perfect or at least what you yourself consider to be good enough for you to be satisfied, me personally im extremely picky and i expect top notch work, and make'm nock something off the price or throw in a damn trunk matt or engine cover or something. good luck buddy the car is definitely worth the hassle trust me! And dont givem a damn dime till you the loyal gm customer is happy

yup, let them fix it and take it home.....see what else you can get out of your unfortunate situation, ie. discount, free oil changes/tire rotations.......
looks awesome otherwise!

R6P code. Kinda special edition number. I don't really know how to explain it. Something about the documentation makes the car worth more in the future.

handling and destination charge is how much?
Edit... The other part of this "let them fix it" equation is....what would be a reasonable time-frame for this repair? Nice color combo with the gray rally stripes.... |

You cannot replace the VIN. Carls241 maybe able to get the R6P code on a new Camaro, but that one will be 4372 until it is put out of service. I doubt that #4372 would be more valuable than #17844, but I am not an expert in this area. The R6P code may affect a cars value in the future though.
