Good job keeping up to the pace car, why did they use a truck in the second half?

They had a lot of groups going that day. That truck was handling the track just as we'll as the pace car.

Its funny you say that. I was telling TSSUNAMI I was actually impressed with the driver of the Black Chevy Avalanche. Even through the chicane that Avalanche was getting it. Those things move like tanks, and I know that the Camrys run way faster since their tweaked for the track but I can say I was impressed the way that Avalanche moved.

^what Ron said. These guys are driving instructors. They're not just the track landscape guys that they had climb in a pace vehicle because it was too cold to mow, lol. The first time we did this in Oct 2010 they used a Tundra and it was all we could do to keep up. But they used 2-3 pace vehicles for large groups, I expect to prevent people from laying back. I was the last car both runs and there was a track Camaro behind me both times.

I was the last car in my group on the first run. I lagged back just on the last turn before the straight away at the start finish line. 2 times got it up to 106. The last time I was still in it at the 300 marker until the wife started screaming( what the hell are you doing ). A little tire screaming on that turn. Second run I was the first car behind the pace truck, barely got to 80. Still had a great run. Can't wait for next time. Thanks to everyone for being nice to the new guy.

We were directly behind the black avalanche both runs. No doubt the person inside it could drive, at no point during the run was I thinking "man I wish this guy was going faster."

Hahahahaha

LOL I just had a image of the guys driving the pace vehicle, in between every group they jump out the vehicles and go back to their shifts at the consession stand.

No clue why I think it's funny, but it is...

I was so dang exited for karts that I just parked. It wasn't till Bruce said " looks like someone needs to learn to park". It was definitely a doh moment lol.

We had one guy that did that constantly when i was in boot camp. The drill instructor will say get ready for a health check and strip down. Little did he know that when the drill instructor said that you were suppose to strip down to your underwear, well he got completely naked lol. The drill instructor return with the major and was like " wtf recruit, I didn't know you like me that much put your clothes back on ". Never did I wanna laugh so hard but I couldn't.
