No it dos not sound like a vacuum cleaner, You don't hear it.

Vararam would be foolish not to support both transmission types. I can't even think of a reason why it wouldn't. 99.9% sure the intake will work on both.

I have not heard a single sound out of mine and I have logged alot of mile on it so far
