Call of Duty Elite

Sign me up...NOT!

That's right, it's kinda of like Netflix... What are they smoking over there at Activision.

I know I made a thread about this last year when there was a hint. I think they are really going to push this out this time, hell they named it.

It's voluntary... so where's the problem?

Sounds pretty cool for those who are the die hard players/fans. A new level of social interaction within the game and fairly priced I'd say.

After you fork out the 60 buck and Activision makes over a 1 billion dollars in the first 24 hrs...you would fork out another $9.99 a month to be an Elite member?

So in return you get three map packs before they release the next CoD game. Instead of $45 (3x$15) you would pay $96 (12x$8).

I guess it will be voluntary, if you only want the original maps that come with the game. I bet Activision will limit the content they give you up front to promote Elite enrollment.

Heard about this on MSNBC today, either way, its Activision's way of milking more money out of us COD addicts.

I decided to buy some more shares of Activision instead

If I were a die hard fan an COD player, yes, I would. But I'm not. But, since I don't pay to play because I'm on PS3, I might consider it for such a nominal fee.

So in return you get three map packs before they release the next CoD game. Instead of $45 (3x$15) you would pay $96 (12x$8).

This isn't just about maps. It's about social interaction too. Connecting with friends, like minded people, ladder play, clans etc. There are a LOT of features here. And a $10 a month, that's not bad.

I guess it will be voluntary, if you only want the original maps that come with the game. I bet Activision will limit the content they give you up front to promote Elite enrollment.

There's no guessing, it will be voluntary. And there will also be a free version of elite too, but there seems to be fewer details about it too.

maybe when I was into CoD4, but now I don't really care so much to pay a fee for the maps. For one I still havent hit first prestige in Black Ops. Then I play MMOs like Rift.

It's worthless.... and I for one won't pay for it, let alone buy another COD game. Since COD4, this next one will be the 4th game they've released since 2007. 4 games of basically the same engine, the same game play, the same boring b.s......

And yet, everyone buys it because it's easy to play a game where even a 5 yr old can be a pro....

Sorry, but I require challenges and skill, not a noob tube over the wall.... I want real vehicles, real splash damage, and real weapons that don't shoot through a steel dumpster but fail to go through a brick wall...
