Don't let the naysayers skew your brain. Leafblower is the best blah blah blah.
Been using a California Water Blade for years on our black and IBM cars, the swirl marks on them are NOT from the blade. learn to use it properly and you won't scratch your paint. It's a quick glide over just to get the puddles of water off and then dry off with an absorber. |

That's just it. THere's no learning a leaf blower. Point, turn on, don't chase the kids, lather, rinse, repeat.
The other advantage is you get a really good sense of how your wax is doing. If you wax every week (which I have but not so much lately), it's not an issue, but if it you do you get a "read" for what the water's doing. When I wax weekly, the water screams off the car like a fat kid running for cake. I can let it go a few weeks and when the water doesn't seem to move as fast across the surface, I know it's time to spend the extra hour or so waxing, buffing, etc. Maybe if I was single, it'd be different, btu with a wife and two kids, time is a premium. I can wash and completely dry the car in less time that the kids take in the shower in the morning (my kids hate to bathe so they're in and out fast).

Leaf blowers are amazing, in about 15min my car is completely dry. Especially those annoying areas like mirrors, door jambs, gas cap, rear plate, tail lights, and grill.
Plus eliminating 1 major source of swirl marks is a plus!

Water blades are for hacks. Ask any pro detailer. Leaf blower, waffle-weave microfibre, and a shot or two of detail spray is the way to go.

Hacks that don't have a garage or a place to wash their cars. If you live in an apartment like many people, waterblade is a good way to dry the car. Wash your car properly and keep the blade clean and you have nothing to worry about

Leaf blower is the way to go. After using one I'll never hand dry another car.

Leaf blower, Adams detail spray and Adams Great white mirco fiber towel. That combo works well.

I used a waterblade on my 2007 black Charger. Yes it had swirls and needs a correction, but I don't think the blade did it. But after trying the sheeting method, along with a leaf blower, that's the way I'm going to go when I pick up my new car TODAY! No sense taking any chances. My only problem will be with the neighbors...instead of saying "he's cleaning his car again???"...it will be added with "is that a foam gun", and "can you beleive he's drying it with a leaf blower?" And it think they said I made love to my car before...
