Honestly, Im just as hype as everyone else, but It'll probably cost upper 40s to low 50s which is out of my ballpark. I will be satisfied with strapping a blower on top of my SS.

I still take my hat off to Chevy for giving the crowd what they want. The 2010 Camaro just released last year and people were already screaming for a Z28. A little over a year later they have the prototype Z28.

I think they deserve some sort of recognition for trying to give the people what they want!!

The same people that can't afford to mod an SS without worry will be unlikely candidates to own a $50k+ Z28.
Warranty has nothing to do with it, most of these cars will go to deep-pocket guys that just want to have a better car than most and much like a lot of the Z06's, ZR1's, and GT500's, I predict most Z28's will be garage queens.

I'm thinking this will be priced in the low $50's to mid $60's. Think about it, some 2SS's were costing low $40's when they first came out -- dealer markup and all.

What will be funny is if the Z28 is priced lower and performs better than some of the "limited edition" supercharged Camaro SS's that are way overpriced.

Can you tell by looking at the picture of the "LSA" engine pictured in the first post how much boost they are running with the pulley that they are using? Does it look to be the same size as the one that comes stock in the CTS-V?

These pics are supposed to be spy photos? Looks like GM quality to me.I think they are leaking this info out for all of us to drool over.

There's an article here:

about how Brenda Priddy gets her shots. You can see one of her foot long lenses in the second pic on the story.

Does anyone think they may go back to the red "performance" bowtie for the Z/28? Bumble Bee has one. Unless there is some change to the badging, I don't see the point in covering it up. My 5 year old would know that was a Camaro badging or no.
That was actually very enlightening, thank you

They probably just used a car that they already had, not a brand new one off the line. I attribute it to random chance more than anything.

Most of Priddy's stuff is like that, except for the shots of track testing and such. Its not leaked, but the engineers obviously allowed the pictures to be taken (or they should be fired for leaving the car unattended and letting some random person open up the hood).

Maybe GM pulled ABM so they could use it as a Z/28 exclusive color? So they limited the amount of ABM running around
Just speculation

My guess is that someone else took the pics and is having Brenda's company sell them for him/her.

They ditched ABM for SGM. A smart choice in my opinion.
