Camaro SS vs Mustang GT500
2011 1SS/RS LS3
Vararam intake RX Ported throttle body Texas speed 1 7/8 long tube headers Texas speed high flow cats Solo performance exhaust 315 Nitto Invo rear tires for traction! Tuned by Dynosteve Made 428whp on the dyno. Friend at work was talking saying it would be a pretty good race between him and I. He drives a 2008 Mustang GT500 stock, besides a K&N intake. These things are advertised at 500hp to the crank, stock. We weigh roughly the same. I believe it would be a pretty close race, but he has constant power with that supercharger. What do you guys think? Go for it? Or would i get smoked? |

I believe he wins, unless he's a poor driver. Throw a nasty cam, or FI your car and it's a different story.

Those cars are pretty slow for 500hp. I think you will win this one.

08 GT500 will lose with equal drivers to a Coyote assuming it has no other mods. Camaro wins this race.

Problem with the 08 was the live rear axle and the tires....more power, but no way to get it to the ground....unless he’s a pro, he’ll spin them and you’ll take off like a scalded cat......once he hooks up he’ll start closing the gap, but in a 1/4 mile you should win.
