Autocross 2018 - Mark your Calendars!

Here are the schedules from the Houston SCCA, Lone Star Porsche Club (Houston) and Equipe Rapids Sports Car Club (Dallas Club). Also waiting to see the schedule for the South Texas Border Region SCCA (Corpus Christi), BMW Club and Texas A&M Sports Car Club.

What's awesome about the Dallas Club you can practice ProSolo and they have an autocross school.

Also on June 1-3: Tire Rack Texas ProSolo will be held Mineral Wells at the Mineral Wells Airport, this will also have the CAM Challenge that weekend as well.

Are these good events to come spectate at? I’m just down the road from Houston and displaced from just north of Corpus. Also just getting into modding the Camaro but would love to come check out some events. Come from a motorcycle track/racing background and think this would be fun!

Sure come out! It's alot of fun! If you have your own Snell Rated Helmet, people will let you ride along as well. As well as some events have helmets you can borrow too, but having your own is better. And if your car is stock you can still come out and race! Autocross is more driver than having a modded car.

Awesome I will have to come visit. Car is not stock any longer so may just come out to spectate and make some new friends, And I still have a few lids and might be a blast to ride along.

Sure come on out! We are a friendly bunch! I'm mainly at the Houston SCCA and Porsche Events, come look for me and I'll introduce you around. We have quite a few of us from the H-Town Camaro Club that are regulars. Come find us; I'm Christine and I drive a 50th Anniversary 2SS.

The next SCCA Autocross will be on Sunday, August 5th at Gulf Greyhound Park. To sign up go to: www.dlbracing.com and look for Houston Region SCCA - (AX). (Presigning up will save you some money vs signing up when you go on site. When signing up you can select pay at the track.)

They are also very strict on sign up and tech times. Please see the time schedule below.

Registration 7:30-8:30 am
Course Walk 8:00*-8:45 am (*course open for walk varies on setup time taken)
Tech 7:45-8:45 am
Rookie Walk thru 8:45 am
Drivers Mtg 9:00 am
First Car out 9:30 am

We will have a few cars from the H-Town Camaro Club out. Hope to see yall there!
