That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. So all the Z06s are worth zero dollars and zero cents? Yeah, I bet. And that was the whole point behind the Ford GT. It was released and it destroyed the best Ferrari at the time, which was the F360CS. Stick to talking about how power under the curve is great for road course usage. You know as much about that as you do about car values.

Here is the best I could find on it.

"A beam axle is a suspension system, also called a solid axle, in which one set of wheels is connected laterally by a single beam or shaft. A live axle is a type of beam axle in which the shaft, or shafts, since live axles, while connected to move as a single unit, are seldom one piece, also transmits power to the wheels; a beam axle that does not also transmit power is sometimes called a dead axle.

Beam axles are typically suspended either by leaf springs or coil springs. In some cases, a Panhard rod or similar device may be used to control the lateral motion of the axle."

I was always under the impression that if the wheels are power through it, it's a live axle, if they are not, then it's a solid rear axle. I just saw that it's called a dead axle for the first time, so that's news to me, but it makes sense...live moves, dead doesn't.

Ford quit building the GT...okay... agreed
Latest offerings are turds in comparison.... you're right again....

But by that definition, every GM built other than the Z07 package/ZR1 are equally as turd-like.

I don't know why I took the time to reply to this, 95% of all your other posts are ignorant as well.

Ford building turds?? I say GM and Ford are the only two companies who have been, over the past decade, the only two US car makers that produced cars that caught the Japanese in quality and reliability. Chrysler is the turd maker that needed another foreign turd maker to rescue it.

Big Hammer disagrees.

The GT fails, so does everything else.

Pretty sure SRA is in reference to a "stick rear axle", more than "solid rear axle". Isn't a solid rear axle what we see on heavy equipment without suspension springs?

Solid Rear Axle.

While it’s damn near impossible to convince Mustang fans that the Camaro is the better car or vice versa, there’s still a bit of room left open to debate as to which one best embodies the spirit of its forefathers.

Thanks for putting words in my mouth, but no, I'd never say something that uneducated.

I'm starting to love how people on here pull what I say out of context and make assumptions with no basis in reality other than their skewed perceptions.

I'm out before I get people hating on me like Haus does.
