I have the black insert and my order went to 2000 on the 25th

I'm at 2000 but I really want the carbon fiber hood insert, but I don't want to delay my vehicle anymore. I wish Chevy go ahead and change my order but stay at the same status

Yea i did then I got a call yesterday an said I had to change it :/ damn it!

Drake, on Thursday there were 121 Black Hood Inserts available nationally:

Order constraints for 01/26

Camaro without ZL1 - 0 nationally
-B92 Base ZL1 Hood - 121 nationally

Now the black hood will be in shorter supply than
the exposed Carbon Fiber Hood !!

There are a lot of people that want the exposed hood, it should be very easy to find someone to swap the insert with and recover your $600.00. But I am willing to bet that once you see the black with the exposed hood, you will not trade.

mlee, I'm not trying to create a conflict, but I read in the message that the BLACK insert would be on sporadic constraint throughout the REST of the 2012 build cycle. And, the Exposed Weave would be in plentiful supply now.

Something tells me GM saw the early huge demand for Exposed weave, adjusted with the suppliers in addition to possible quality issues, fixed the problem and increased Exposed vs Black. Then all of a sudden more people ordered BLACK because they thought Exposed would be short supply! So now BLACK is in question. That's my impression of what has gone on. So, if you want to make GETTING your car the fastest, it NOW is the time to make sure you ask FOR the Exposed weave.

I made a mistake ONCE, but I fixed it.

My dealer said this came to a shocker but I refused to pass up my order for 600 bux bc the next time could be march he would get picked up so it's not worth waiting and everything happens for a reason so I may look back and say wow I'm glad I didn't pass this up bc I love the exposed! No wonder everyone wants it! Lol and worse case is I sell it on eBay... Which now after readings seems like it will look great on the black (:

Ok you guys are really confusing me. I am doing a conversion and want to order the non expossed pained black insert. So are you saying that these are going to be limited from here on out during the 2012 cycle. Also are there 121 of these availabe or the expossed carbon insert ?

There were 121 last week now there is non for this week 1/26.... The black will be limited not the exposed... Basically the exposed is standard since you can't order black... I well
